Inside recently carried out refurbishment works over six floors of The Hive Student Accommodation, Bethnal Green.

The works involved: fresh décor throughout, carpets to the corridors, bespoke joinery to the reception and 6th-floor common areas, as well as new roof coverings and mechanical plant replacement.

During our time on site, The Inside team completed the full refurbishment of 203 rooms, the common areas and modified the courtyard and roof terrace.

Each room introduced new tea points, integrated appliances, desks and spray-painted joinery.

We re-purposed the sixth floor. The rooftop terrace was stripped out, replenished and composite decking was introduced; the space was complete with artificial grass and bespoke teak furniture imported from Indonesia. Bespoke joinery was crafted internally on the sixth floor, creating dynamic booths, tea points, and book shelving.

The works were carried out in an occupied building.
